Welcome and thank you for visiting my website! My name is Rhonda Smith, I am the school counselor at Summersville Elementary. I was born in Granite City, IL but was raised in Summersville, MO. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Baptist University. I have taught Kindergarten, second grade, multiage first-second, and multiage second-third. I received my master's degree in School Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University now known as Missouri State University. I am extremely happy to work at such a great school like Summersville. It is my hometown school and I love interacting with the children of my hometown! I have been married 35 years to my husband Scott and we have two amazing children, Jonathan (wife Kiera) and Victoria (husband Roger), two beautiful granddaughters, Adalynn Ruth and Anna Grace, and four sweet fur babies named Nick, Buddy, and Podey. I enjoy reading, camping, spending time with family and friends, photography, scrapbooking, and listening to music. I also enjoy learning about technology and all its wonderful uses. I LOVE working with children! I am ecstatic to play a part in shaping the minds of students with unlimited potential. I can only hope they learn as much from me as I learn from them, they are truly amazing!
