Elementary Secretary/District Nurse

I wanted to put out some information, and printouts for teens regarding Mono. I have been notified by the Health Department that there has been an increase in mono cases in the area. After hearing this we wanted to make sure we had information available regarding how mono is spread among individuals. All the links listed are from the CDC website. If you have any concerns with your child/children having signs and symptoms of mono make an appointment with their Provider. https://www.cdc.gov/epstein-barr/about/mononucleosis.html https://kidshealth.org/en/teens/expert-mono.prt-en.html Immunization Reminders: Please make sure your child is up to date on all their immunizations. Children entering Kindergarten, 8th, and 12th grade need to make sure they are up to date. Please do not send prescription or over-the-counter medications to school with your child. Medications will need to be brought into the office by the parent/guardian of the child. Please refer to the student handbook for medication protocols.
Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy!
